Investigation Catalyst is a software application offering a set of tools and rules to use during investigation and analysis of processes of all kinds. The application functions as a catalyst to help investigators understand, describe and explain a process, and use the explanation to find ways to improve future performance.

The software can assist incident investigations, hazard analyses, recommendation development, quality assessment, witness statement analysis, change management, training and procedures development, and the management of those activities.

Investigation Catalyst is designed to be self-directing. Investigators build their skills by building and analyzing matrices. A Help Menu explains what the application is, what it does, and how it works. Tutorials describe how to use the application for specific tasks. Background materials about the investigation system and technical support are available to users from Starline Software, Ltd.
